Debut album from San Francisco Hip Hop surrealist, Odynophagia. Equally influenced by underground rap credos & the automatic writing book he got at age 14(to frequent apparition possession) Odyn delivers a hard hitting document of abstracted personal annals, subconscious psycho sexual haze, fast and impassioned labyrinthine rap cadences, and dense literary styles, requiring multiple listens to grasp in full. He resides in dichotomy: Jamaican and Irish, deadly and sensitive. When asked by a friend “ How do I know the right thing to do karmicly?” he responded “ As long as it’s a creative force and not destructive, it should be fine” but he’ll still smash in your windshield with leering jackal eyes. In a rhymic race of word inversion his music asks the question: Can a subject find complete enlightenment transcendence in music, rapping through a precarious collision course of storming egoic shrapnel?

Odyn and co producer Jeremy Kaufmann create the albums beats out of intricately programmed, hard drums, sample haze, majestic pulsing synths and subtle basstones. Creating a unique brand of hip hop beatscape: Stark, ethereal, contemplative. Their catchy accessibility leads to head nodding and mind hammering.
